Harald Raupenstrauch (Univ.-Prof. Dipl.-Ing. Dr. techn.), studied process engineering at Graz University of Technology, Professor and Head of the Chair of Thermal Processing Technology and Head of the Department of Environmental and Energy Process Engineering at Leoben University of Mining and Metallurgy, Head of the PANK university course and the associated Master's course in Safety and Disaster Management, several visiting professorships in the USA, UK and the Netherlands. Recognised expert with numerous publications in the field of thermoprocess technology and process and plant safety.

Dr. Renate Renner, Senior Scientist and head of Safety and Disaster Studies (SDS) working group at the University of Leoben. Study coordinator for the regular Master's program "Safety and Disaster Management".

Chris­toph Spi­jker

Dipl.-Ing. Dr.mont.

Christoph Spijker, studied industrial environmental protection, disposal technology and recycling at the Montanuniversität Leoben. As part of his dissertation “Numerical investigation of the particle-internal effects in lycopodium dust deflagrations” he dealt with the modeling of dust explosions. He is currently a senior scientist at the Chair of Thermal Process Engineering at the University of Leoben and leads the “Combustion and furnace technology” working group as well as the technical field of safety and disaster research. In addition to modeling industrial furnace systems, he deals with safety technology issues such as gas and dust explosions, self-heating processes and modeling the dispersion of pollutants.

Ste­fa­nie Kauf­mann

Primary responsible for SDM administration, Stefanie handles all organizational matters related to the department with her friendly and responsible approach. She manages tasks such as registration for the Master's exam, enrollment and withdrawal from courses and exams, and the administration of documents with great commitment and flexibility. Stefanie is a reliable point of contact for students, faculty, and all other partners of the department, and her open-mindedness and support in organizing events contribute significantly to a positive working atmosphere.

Claudia Mayr-Veselinović is a university assistant and doctoral candidate in the Safety and Disaster Studies (SDS) research group at Montanuniversität Leoben.

Prof. Dr. Vladimir M. Cvetković (Visiting Professor) is a member of Safety and Disaster Studies (SDS) working group at the Montan University of Leoben. Founder and President of Scientific-Professional Society for Disaster Risk Management, director of International Institute for Disaster Research and Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Disaster Risk Management. Employed at the Department of Disaster Management and Environmental Security, Faculty of Security Studies, University of Belgrade, where he teaches the subject Disaster Risk Management.
