Admission and enrollment Safety and Disaster Management

Admission requirements

Based on the idea that risks cannot be managed by a single discipline we want to facilitate multi-layered discussions in multidisciplinary study groups.

The prerequisite for admission to the Safety and Disaster Management master's program is the completion of a bachelor's degree or a degree of at least the same higher educational level at a recognized domestic or from a foreign post-secondary educational institution. In any case, the Bachelor's degree programs offered at the University of Leoben, as well as Bachelor's degree programs in law, cultural sciences, social sciences and economics, and Bachelor's degree programs in natural sciences and humanities are eligible. Proof of the general university entrance qualification is deemed to have been provided in any case by proving this admission requirement.

Link to pre-register

For your information
To legalize your documents, please contact the Austrian representative authority in your country.
Look here to find your Austrian representative authority: Search for Austrian representations or look at the
world map of Austrian representations: Map of Austrian Embassies.

Please find out in advance exactly how the documents have to be certified. It is important to know that legalization of documents can often take several months, so you should allow enough time for this. Please note that incorrectly legalized documents will slow down the admission process and therefore you may not be admitted to the desired semester.

National students
National students who acquired their school and university education in Austria can pre-register online before coming directly to the Study Support Center for enrollment. No separate document check is required.
